How to Add Additional Links to the NHS & Local Services Grid
You can add links to pages within your website or external website pages such as NHS resources that will be displayed under the ‘Additional Links’ section of your website.
To add a new link, navigate from the dashboard to: Home Page > NHS and Local Services Links
You should then see the screen where you can add internal and external links:
To add the Link Label, which will be the title displayed in the list of Additional Links, enter the label/title into the ‘Link Label’ box and choose whether you are adding an internal link from within your website or a link to an external website using the radio buttons.
Adding Internal Links
If you are adding a link to one of your own websites pages, make sure the ‘Internal (Link to a page on the website)’ button is selected under the ‘Link Type’ column.
Now click on the dropdown arrow under the ‘Page’ column. All your internal website pages should be displayed and you can scroll down to find the one you want to link to or start typing the page name and it should display.
Click on the page title to select it and click on the ‘Add link’ button underneath.
If this is the only link you want to add, click on the ‘Update’ button under the Publish sidebar on the right.
Adding External Links
To add an external link, select the radio button ‘Link to External Website’ and add the Link Label into the box. Now paste the URL for the external website page you want to link to into the box in the ‘Website’ column. Click the ‘Add link’ button underneath.
Once you have several links added, you can reorder them by hovering over the number in the left column, clicking to select the link and drag it up or down to change the order.
If you want to delete a link, you can do this by clicking on the ‘-‘ icon in the right column shown above.
Once you have added your additional links or made other changes such as reordering or deleting links, confirm the changes by clicking on the ‘Update’ button under the Publish sidebar in the top right.
